What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1Agencies must assign required leadership roles including 24x7 Facility Contact, Office of the Administrator, Director of Home Care Patient Services (a licensed RN), Emergency Response Coordinator, HPN Coordinator, and CHRC Authorized Person.(Health Commerce System (HCS) Roles (DAL DHCBS 22-11))
- 2The HCS must be accessed at minimum once per week and more frequently during an emergency.(Health Commerce System (HCS) Roles (DAL DHCBS 22-11))
- 3Users must contact the HCS coordinator at least 3 business days prior to any change in HCS responsibilities or employment status, and agencies have 10 business days to update the HCS account after notification.(Health Commerce System (HCS) Roles (DAL DHCBS 22-11))
- 4Agencies must provide current and complete updates of the Communications Directory reflecting changes as they occur and at a minimum on a monthly basis, with after-hours contacts including cell phone numbers.(Health Commerce System (HCS) Roles (DAL DHCBS 22-11))
- 5Agencies must designate, at a minimum, 24-hour/7-day contacts for emergency communication in the HCS/HPN Communications Directory (10 NYCRR 766.9(o) for LHCSAs).(Health Commerce System (HCS) Roles (DAL DHCBS 22-11))
