Under section 12006 of the 21st Century Cures Act, Mississippi requires Electronic Visit Verification for Medicaid personal care services (effective January 1, 2020) and home health services (January 1, 2024). EVV electronically captures six federally mandated data points for each visit. The Division of Medicaid administers EVV through vendor HHAeXchange (subcontracted via FEI), covering personal care attendant services, in-home respite, home and community supports, supported living, and private duty nursing across State Plan/EPSDT and OLTC/Mental Health waiver programs.
