What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1The RN supervisor must have two years' experience in home health services or a related field.(1408.1.1.2)
- 2For members receiving 24 units or fewer of service per week, the provider RN or LPN must complete a face-to-face supervisory visit in the member's home every three months (within 92 calendar days).(1407.1.1.2)
- 3Personal Support Aides must meet the training and competency qualifications for the tasks they perform, and the provider agency must ensure aides accomplish tasks competently while maintaining member rights, safety, choice, and dignity.(1408.2)
- 4SFC providers must provide ongoing oversight, with daily notes reviewed by the Health Coach and RN each day.(1417.2.15.4)
- 5The provider agency and its RN supervisor must maintain working knowledge of the Rules and Regulations for Private Home Care Providers, Chapter 290-5-54.(1408.1.1.4)
- 6Personal Support Services providers must be licensed as Private Home Care Providers (PHCP) under O.C.G.A. 31-7 and enrolled in EDWP CCSP/SOURCE; an RN, or an LPN under RN supervision, provides medical supervision of Personal Support Aides.(1406)
- 7For members receiving more than 24 units of service per week, the provider RN or LPN must complete a face-to-face supervisory visit in the member's home every two months (within 62 calendar days).(1407.1.1.1)
- 8On a semi-annual basis (every 6 months), the SFC health coach must complete a supervisory visit with the member, scheduled within the required notice window.(1417.2.2.2)
- 9At least once annually, the provider RN or LPN must complete an in-home supervisory visit to observe and monitor the in-home performance of the Personal Support Aide.(1407.1.1.3)
- 10The LPN must be supervised by the provider agency's RN and may not conduct the initial assessment, develop a member's care plan, or reevaluate a member.(1407.1.1.4)
- 11SFC providers must maintain internal auditing capacity, including an annual performance evaluation of enrollment outcomes and provider performance.(1417.2.15.1)
- 12Under the Consumer Directed Option, a back-up provider must be identified and available to deliver services when the primary worker is unavailable.(1413.11.1)
