What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1Providers must complete the Health Electronic Response Data System (HERDS) Home Care Emergency Response Survey.(Emergency Response Drill (DAL DHCBS 19-05))
- 2All communication between the Department and providers for the drill and during a real emergency must be conducted via the HCS Integrated Health Alert Notification System (IHANS).(Emergency Response Drill (DAL DHCBS 19-05))
- 3Providers must contact their community partners to test communication/plan systems, clearly stating "This is an exercise" when doing so.(Emergency Response Drill (DAL DHCBS 19-05))
- 4All CHHAs, LTHHCPs, Hospices, and LHCSAs are required to participate in the emergency response drill; failure to participate will result in a deficiency citation and possible enforcement action.(Emergency Response Drill (DAL DHCBS 19-05))
- 5During the drill, providers must implement all aspects of their emergency preparedness plan, document participation and activities conducted, and evaluate the plan's effectiveness (federal providers must execute the required After Action Report).(Emergency Response Drill (DAL DHCBS 19-05))
