Applies to: personal care / home care (agency to provide personal care services in the home)

Nevada requires each licensed agency to provide personal care services in the home to maintain written policies and procedures for staff, which must (among other items) set forth the agency's emergency responses to both medical and nonmedical situations. This is the operative emergency-preparedness obligation for Nevada personal care agencies; there is no separate stand-alone disaster-plan regulation for this provider type. Adopted by the Board of Health via R182-07, effective 1-30-2008.
