What this rule requires your agency to do

- 2The CHHA must report immediately to the delegating RN (or RN designee) any medication error, including wrong time, wrong dose, wrong medication, wrong route, medication not administered, patient refusal, or any adverse reaction/side effect.(N.J.A.C. 13:37-14.3 - Duties of a homemaker-home health aide; registered professional nurse delegation and direction)

- 5For any delegated medication, the delegating RN must document in the nursing plan of care and the CHHA agency's patient record the specific medication, instructions, duration of delegation, reevaluation timeframe, dosage/route/frequency, side effects to watch for, contraindications, conditions requiring RN contact, positioning instructions, and preparation/maintenance instructions.(N.J.A.C. 13:37-14.3 - Duties of a homemaker-home health aide; registered professional nurse delegation and direction)
