What this rule requires your agency to do

- 2The provider's mandated reporters must report immediately when they have reason to believe a vulnerable adult is being or has been maltreated, or have knowledge of an unexplained physical injury. Minnesota's Vulnerable Adults Act mandatory-reporting statute requires mandated reporters (including home care and personal care staff) to immediately report suspected maltreatment of a vulnerable adult to the common entry point, which operates 24 hours per day. Facilities may permit internal reporting but remain responsible for the immediate report, and retaliation against good-faith reporters is prohibited.
