What this rule requires your agency to do

  • 1The agency/provider must ensure the PSS documents the services and supports needed by the individual to work toward or achieve his or her desired outcomes. (Rule 1.13)(Miss. Admin.   • 2The supports coordinator/case manager must review the PSS at least every twelve (12) months, when the individual's circumstances or needs change significantly, or when requested by the person.   • 3The provider must obtain documented consent from the person for all changes to the PSS, either via current signature and date or via verbal consent with a witness's signature and date.   • 5The provider must furnish personal care services in accordance with the waiver person's Plan of Services and Supports (PSS), which is approved by the Division of Medicaid based upon the assessed needs of the person and developed with the person's involvement. Under Title 23, Part 208 (HCBS/Long Term Care), Mississippi Medicaid requires that personal care services be delivered in accordance with a person-centered Plan of Services and Supports (PSS) developed through the person-centered planning process. The PSS must document the person's needed services and supports and the roles/responsibilities of the individual, supports coordinator/case manager, allies, and providers. It must be reviewed at least every twelve months (or on significant change or request), and all changes require documented consent from the person.
