What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1No individual affiliated with the agency or registry may assume power of attorney or guardianship over a consumer, and the agency/registry may not require a consumer to endorse checks over to it.(28 Pa. Code § 611.57 - Consumer protections)
- 2The consumer must receive at least 10 calendar days advance written notice of intent to terminate services (with limited exceptions for nonpayment more than 14 days in arrears or worker safety risk).(28 Pa. Code § 611.57 - Consumer protections)
- 3Prior to commencement of services, the agency or registry must provide the consumer an information packet listing available services, hours, fees/total costs, Department contact/complaint hotline (1-866-826-3644), hiring/competency requirements, and employee/contractor tax-status disclosure.(28 Pa.
