What this rule requires your agency to do

  • 1The provider agency's RN must initial and review all on-site visit reports made by the administrative supervisor. (13 CSR 70-91.010(3)(J))(13 CSR 70-91.010 - Personal Care Program)
  • 2For participants receiving advanced personal care services, the provider agency must conduct on-site RN visits at intervals no greater than six (6) months to evaluate the participant's condition, continued eligibility, and adequacy of the care plan.   • 3The provider agency's supervisor must make an on-site visit at least annually to evaluate each personal care worker's performance, documenting observations of care plan delivery and the participant's satisfaction. (13 CSR 70-91.010(3)(H)3)(13 CSR 70-91.010 - Personal Care Program)
  • 4The provider agency must, if the administrative supervisor is not a currently licensed Missouri RN, have a designated RN currently licensed in Missouri on staff or employed as a consultant. (13 CSR 70-91.010(3)(I))(13 CSR 70-91.010 - Personal Care Program)
  • 5The provider agency must ensure an RN, LPN, or GN has personally observed successful execution of an advanced personal care task and certified this in the aide's personnel record before the task is performed. (13 CSR 70-91.010(5)(E)5)(13 CSR 70-91.010 - Personal Care Program)

Missouri's Personal Care Program regulation establishes supervisory oversight requirements, including RN availability for agencies whose supervisor is not an RN, annual on-site supervisory visits to evaluate each personal care worker, and semi-annual on-site RN evaluation visits for participants receiving advanced personal care.
