Under the federal 21st Century Cures Act, Tennessee requires Electronic Visit Verification for all Medicaid-funded personal care services (compliance by Jan 1, 2020) and home health services (Jan 1, 2023). EVV must electronically capture six data elements. DDA uses Therap as its EVV system for community providers. Providers must schedule visits, ensure electronic check-in/out, and validate services, or face non-payment.
