What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1For LHCSAs, medical orders shall reference all diagnoses, medications, treatments, prognoses, need for palliative care, and other pertinent information relevant to the agency plan of care (10 NYCRR 766.4(d)).(Regulatory Changes for Home Care Agencies (DAL DHCBS 16-05))
- 2CHHA/LTHHCP orders shall be signed by the authorized practitioner within 12 months after issuance of any change in medical order or prior to billing, whichever is sooner, to include all written and oral changes and telephone changes.(Regulatory Changes for Home Care Agencies (DAL DHCBS 16-05))
- 3LHCSA medical orders shall be authenticated by an authorized practitioner within 12 months after admission to the agency, and when changes are indicated, orders (including telephone orders) shall be authenticated by the authorized practitioner within 12 months.(Regulatory Changes for Home Care Agencies (DAL DHCBS 16-05))
- 4For CHHAs/LTHHCPs, medical orders shall be signed by the authorized practitioner within 12 months after admission or prior to billing, whichever is sooner (10 NYCRR 763.7(a)(3)(i)).(Regulatory Changes for Home Care Agencies (DAL DHCBS 16-05))
- 5CHHA/LTHHCP orders shall be renewed by the authorized practitioner as frequently as indicated by the patient's condition but at least every 60 days.(Regulatory Changes for Home Care Agencies (DAL DHCBS 16-05))
