What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1Apply the same nursing-assistant training requirements and duties as prescribed in Subchapter 05 Part 22 to nursing assistants providing home nursing/home care (17.6.6(A)).(216-RICR-40-10-17.6.6 — Nursing Assistant Services and Supervision)
- 2Conduct the initial in-home assessment before commencement of service (or within 48 hours if extraordinary documented circumstances prevent that), with subsequent assessments and at least one supervisory session no less than every three months (17.6.6(B)(3)(d)(1)).(216-RICR-40-10-17.6.6 — Nursing Assistant Services and Supervision)

Applies to: personal care
Subjects nursing assistants providing home nursing/home care to the training and duty requirements of Subchapter 05 Part 22, and requires that nursing assistant services be provided under a plan of care and supervised at least every three months by a Rhode Island-licensed professional (registered) nurse or other appropriate professional, including an initial in-home assessment before service, quarterly reassessment and revision of the plan of care, on-site performance monitoring, and clinical-record oversight.
