What this rule requires your agency to do
- 1The PCM agency must provide members an in-person orientation covering member rights and responsibilities, the rules and regulations governing the PCA program, the roles of the PCM agency and fiscal intermediary, proper use of activity forms, and the skills and tasks necessary to manage PCA services. - 2The PCM agency must provide in-person comprehensive functional skills training to members at least quarterly during the first year of approved PCA services and at least annually thereafter. - 4The PCM agency must provide ongoing functional skills training covering PCA management techniques; hiring, recruiting, training, and supervising PCAs; personal health care maintenance; emergency management procedures; and fiscal intermediary operations. Under MassHealth's PCA regulations, Personal Care Management (PCM) agencies must provide members with in-person intake orientation and ongoing functional skills training covering how to hire, train, supervise, and manage personal care attendants, and PCAs must be willing to receive training and supervision in all PCA services.
